we hope you had a great Christmas and are enjoying some time off.
On Saturday we have our street collection in the town centre from 10am-6pm. The funds collected will go towards the club and the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
We have made a draft timetable for collectors (linked below), we need an adult at each location and each shift is 2 hours. PLEASE ARRIVE 10 MINS BEFORE YOUR SHIFT AT PADDY FRIELS OFFICE (between Claire’s Accessories and Menary’s) to sign in and get your collection bucket & t-shirt etc. This will be our headquarters for the day.
Hopefully all the players and brothers/sisters can come down and help with the collecting. Let me know if you need us to change your shift or if you can do another slot.

We are very sorry to announce our trip to America has
been postponed to 2014 due to Super Storm Sandy.
Over the years our sponsors in America have given our Club
well over £10,000. Now they are the ones that need us to help
the thousands who have been devastated by this storm.
I would like to give them half the money we collect in our cans
and half of the donations we receive on during our Christmas fundraiser in Omagh to the relief fund.
Omagh Thunder Senior Club Announce The Weigh Inn as new Sponsors
Omagh Thunder are proud to announce their new senior team sponsors as The Weigh Inn Bar and Lounge.
Pictured are Mickey Donnelly of The Weigh Inn and senior club Secretary Stephen McAleer.
Omagh Thunder senior Coach Aidan Bradley said: “This sponsorship agreement with The Weigh Inn means we can put much-needed funds back into the senior club so that more and more local players and supporters can find out why basketball is the fastest growing sport in the country. Omagh Thunder would like to thank Mickey and Neechy Donnelly for their support for the senior basketball team.”
Thanks to everyone who voted. We find out whether we were successful or not in November.

The Tyrone Towers Summer Basketball Camp application forms are out and are available by clicking the link below.
The Dungannon based camp is in it’s 30th year and is the best way to improve your game for next season. The camp takes place from Monday 13th to Friday 17th August.
All Omagh club members who are interested in going to USA next year for basketball camps are highly encouraged to attend a basketball camp this summer. Get together and get organised!
Personally, I’ve been to Dungannon Camp twice in my youth and loved the experience on both camps! I would highly recommend it!
The Olympic Torch came to Omagh Tuesday mourning, 5th of June 9:57 AM
and the Omagh Thunder Basketball Club was there to welcome it.
There was a great turn out and the atmosphere in the town was unbeliveable.
I want to thank Aidan Bradley for a beautiful job on the banner, and thanks
to all the players who came out to support the Club.
All the best,
The Olympic Torch will be coming through Omagh on the 5th of June at 9:57 AM
The Omagh Basketball Club is very proud and excited to be asked by the Omagh District Council and Omagh Sports Forum to be part of this once in a lifetime great historic Olymic opportunity.

We need your help, your family, your friends, your neighbors anyone you can get to come out on June 5th.
Our dream is to be the largest sports club represented on that day, and get one of our players to carry the Torch.
