Omagh Thunder Under 18’s played an all round difficult game against Dungannon’s Tyrone Towers in their first away game of the season. The Omagh and Dungannon boys opened the game with some impressive skill within the first quarter and managed to deny easy scoring opportunities with their superb defensive pressure. The game was all tied at the end of the first quarter with both teams being equally matched.

With much of the same in the second quarter, the Omagh boys trailed by a single point even though hampered by a squad of only five players. If not difficult enough for the Omagh boys who had no subs available when needed, Omagh’s Cillian Deehan sustained an injury leaving Omagh to carry on with only four members leaving Omagh at a severe disadvantage for the remaining 3rd and 4th quarter.

The final score ended 61-50 to Tyrone Towers who took advantage of having an extra player on the court. The Omagh’s boys where unfortunate this time, however they look forward to their next game away against Andersontown Tigers on 10th November.
